Additional ways psychotherapy helps...
Participating in psychotherapy is an excellent way to learn about the obstacles that block you from achieving your life goals. And working in psychotherapy with suppressed feelings is often an essential part of moving towards a life of greater contentment and self-acceptance. Psychotherapy can help you discover your potential and improve your mental health. This can directly impact your daily life and relationships with others. You may have some specific issues or "problems" that you feel prepared to work on, or you might not know how to get started on a path towards feeling better or “more yourself.” You may feel depleted and find yourself wondering what happened to your strength or resilience. Or your relationship seems to be going flat and feels less rewarding. Perhaps you have never had the type of relationship that you are longing for. All of these can be motivating factors for treatment. |
