Additional services include Psychoeducational Assessments,  Independent Evaluations for Schools, Bariatric Assessments (Gastric Bypass Evaluations), Psychological assessments for Immigration cases related to hardship claims, and Full Psychological Batteries.

I am currently unable to accept new insurance patients due to a full time contract at a Medical Center.  This is due to the time commitment involved in processing claims and I apologize in advance if you were seeking my services.  If you are still interested in my services, I can assist you in filing your insurance claims or for filing out of network benefits and can provide the necessary paperwork.  I am still accepting new private pay patients and see patients a few evenings a week and every other Sunday, focusing on Individual and or Couples/ Marital therapy.  Please contact your individual insurance carrier to determine if you have out of network benefits.
To schedule an appointment, please call me at 703-550-4848 to set up an initial evaluation and if you do not reach me, please leave a good time and contact telephone number for me to return your call.  For your convenience, I also accept all Major Credit Cards (AMEX, Visa, MC, Discover) and can offer payment plans.  <p>

I also OFFER GASTRIC (LAPBAND & BYPASS) EVALUATIONS EVERY OTHER SUNDAY IN MY OFFICE from 9am-3pm or by appointment in my office and the turnaround time for completed reports is usually within 1 week.  Please contact my office (703-550-4848) or Dr. Halmi's (703-878-7610) to schedule the assessment and I am able to process BCBS and Anthem claims for the one-time assessment in addition to a report writing fee (not covered by insurance).

I am also very pleased to now offer CAREER COUNSELING SERVICES using both the MYERS-BRIGGS Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory to assist you in matching your interests with career choice. If you are struggling with career direction, please contact me to discuss this excellent, helpful service and for pricing information.

Please see my newly update LINKS page for helpful services.

Thank you for visiting and I look forward to working with you,

Additional ways psychotherapy helps...

Participating in psychotherapy is an excellent way to learn about the obstacles that block you from achieving your life goals.  And working in psychotherapy with suppressed feelings is often an essential part of moving towards a life of greater contentment and self-acceptance. Psychotherapy can help you discover your potential and improve your mental health.  This can directly impact your daily life and relationships with others.

You may have some specific issues or "problems" that you feel prepared to work on, or you might not know how to get started on a path towards feeling better about yourself.  You may feel depleted and find yourself wondering what happened to your strength or resilience.

Or your relationship seems to be going flat and feels less rewarding. Perhaps you have never had the type of relationship that you are longing for?  All of these can be motivating factors for treatment and I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
